Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Kevin O'Day danced for numerous companies before embarking on his choreographic career. He performed with Twyla Tharp in her Broadway production of "Singing in the Rain." Mr. O'Day has also danced with the Joffrey Ballet, William Forsythe's Frankfurt Ballet and as a Soloist with American Ballet Theatre. He has been a guest artist with New York City Ballet, appearing in George Balanchine's Episodes, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Prodigal Son; Peter Martins' Barber Violin Concerto; and Forsythe's Herman Schmerman. Mr. O'Day made his choreographic debut in 1994 in a work entitled Quartet for IV, commissioned by White Oak Dance Project. Works he has choreographed for New York City Ballet include his 1994 The Diamond Project ballet Viola Alone, Huoah, Dvorak Bagatelles and in 1996, Badchonim (Merry-Makers).
John King, composer and guitarist, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1953. He has presented his composed and improvisational music in many major festivals throughout the world. His group, Electric World, has toured Europe, performing in festivals and clubs. His techno-sound collaborations (involving computers, samplers, live/sequenced media) with Ben Neill have been presented in many environments.
